Terms of use

Last updated 3 November 2026. Draft for legal review.

Unhype is run by [Your full legal name, or company name and number], [Your business address] ("we", "us"). Contact: [Contact email, e.g. hello@yourdomain]. By using Unhype you agree to these terms. If you're buying as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

1. What Unhype is

Unhype gives independent opinions about online courses that sell a way to make money. We read the sales page you give us, apply six published checks (see How we judge), compare claims with published market data and, in a Deep Dive, search the web for what other sources say.

Our reports are opinions and estimates, not facts about any seller and not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Money figures are projections for a typical beginner, not a promise of what you or anyone will earn or lose. Always do your own checks before you buy anything.

2. Using Unhype

3. Accuracy

We work hard to be fair and accurate: findings about a course must quote its page, and we check those quotes automatically. But reports are produced with the help of AI, from pages that change and data that's often incomplete, so they can contain mistakes. We don't guarantee that any report is complete, accurate or up to date. A report reflects the sales page as it was on the date shown.

4. Paid reports

A Deep Dive costs $3.99 for one course, or $5.99 to compare up to three. Prices are shown before you pay and charged once, with no subscription. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your rights if something goes wrong are set out in our refund policy.

5. If you sell a course we've checked

We only describe what your sales page says and what published data shows, and we never comment on you personally. If you think a report is wrong, use the Report an error link on any report or email [Contact email, e.g. hello@yourdomain], with the report reference if you have it. We review every report, usually within 7 days, and correct genuine mistakes. If you've changed your page, a new check will reflect it.

6. Our content

Unhype's design, text, scoring method and software belong to us. Quotes from sales pages belong to their owners and are reproduced briefly for the purpose of review and criticism. Links to other websites are for your information; we're not responsible for their content.

7. Our responsibility to you

If you're a consumer, we're responsible for loss you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for decisions you make based on a report, including buying or not buying a course, or for any business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If we're found liable for a paid report, our total liability for that report is limited to the price you paid for it, unless the law says otherwise.

8. Changes and suspension

We may update Unhype and these terms. Changes apply from the date they're published here, and won't affect a report you've already paid for. We may suspend access for anyone misusing the service.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
